SAINT LOUIS SCOTT GALLAGHER
SLSG MO Girls player Emily Groark was recently honored at the St. Louis Soccer Hall of Fame banquet with the "Future Soccer Star" award.
Emily currently attends Incarnate Word Academy and graduates in the Spring of 2018, after which she will continue her playing career at the University of Colorado-Boulder. She has twice been named as the Player of the Year for Class 3 Region 2 (2016 & 2017) and was named to the 2016 Missouri All-State team. Emily's accomplishments were recognized on the national level as she was also named to the NSCAA All-State team in 2017. She is currently ranked 55th in the IMG Academy Top 150 which evaluates players based on scouts, staff, and coaches at various levels around the nation for the 2018 graduating class.
"This award really means a lot to me because it shows how hard I have worked throughout my soccer career," said Groark. "I cannot thank my parents, coaches, and family enough for everything they’ve done for me and for always supporting me and pushing me.”
"Emily is a worthy winner of this award," said Ralph Richards, ECNL Director. "She is always competing on the field no matter who she plays for and I love that about her. She is certainly going to do great things at the University of Colorado-Boulder."
