Saint Louis - The Saint Louis Scott Gallagher Girls Division continues its staff unveiling for the 2022-23 season. SLSG’s Vice President, Steve Pecher, has been incredibly impressed with the Elite Program. “This year, our ‘revamped’ Elite Program has been extremely successful when you look at each team's developmental progress and competitiveness. And now we are seeing an influx of interest from both inside and outside of the club to get into the program.” Program Director Scott McDoniel could not be more proud of the strides the program has made in the last twelve months. “I’m just really impressed with the girls and their families. This is a newer program that requires a lot of commitment to the competition calendar, trust in the staff, and dedication to each other. Mike and his staff, in collaboration with the girls and their parents, have created something really special and the club is very excited for the future of this platform.”
Mike Gibbons, the current Missouri Girls Elite Director will continue to lead this program in 2022/23. He will be joined by senior staff members Ali Jamali and Joe Stdko, who is assisted by Mark Mueller. The club plans to add at least one more staff member for the upcoming season, a person to be announced soon.
“There are a lot of good things happening inside of the Elite Program,” said Gibbons, who has been with the club since 2008 and worked with just about every age group in that time. “We have had each team fare extremely well in league, tourney’s and the President’s Cup competitions. The 2007 and 2008 squads have already booked a ticket to the President’s Cup Regional and we are looking forward to an exciting future. The kids have worked hard, they are talented, and they really care about doing well for the club. I’m just really proud of them and happy to be a part of the program.”
