SLSG Champions Cup Etiquette
The purpose of the Champions Cup is for players to enjoy the game of soccer in a fun setting. The Champions Cup is a celebration event of our Upper 90 Community Outreach Program which is a major part of our mission statement (below). Coaches and team leaders are encouraged to simply substitute and let the players coach themselves on the field. Please let the game be the teacher. Players are encouraged to RESPECT all aspects of the game.
SLSG Mission Statement
To Build the Best Club in the Country. A club that positively impacts the development of our players on and off the field and positively impacts our community.
LIVING LEGACY FOUNDATION
The SLSG Living Legacy Fund is an endowment that allows for scholarships to be awarded to deserving players who have talent and passion but may not have the financial resources to join the club or continue as a valued player. Scholarships are awarded by an endowment board made up of individuals inside and outside the club, who weigh criteria including financial need, character, and passion for the game.

We will be collecting used soccer shoes, balls and SLSG uniforms under the Dean Team Pavilion located between Our Upper 90 program heads to Honduras early this November and our shoe pile will be wiped out. We have support going to Zambia, Haiti and local St. Louis this year.
The club would ask all coaches, players, parents, and spectators to follow the core values of SLSG. Coaches, parents, and spectators should remember the game is for the player. The game is used as the teacher for the player to continue to grow and to develop. The game environment should not hamper the growth and development of the player. We would ask that the coaches, parents, spectators to be respectful of the environment by not yelling instructions during the games. Cheering and encouragement are welcome as long as it is positive in nature.
The SLSG Management will monitor the games and if there is any behavior out of line, we will address during the game. In addition, we would ask the coaches, parents, and spectators to please be respectful of the referees. Just as it is a developmental environment for the players, it is a developmental environment for the referees. Any abusive language or behavior towards referees will not be tolerated.
Please note that any incidents at games will be reviewed by the SLSG Management and could result in future suspension or punishment.
The safety of the players, coaches, management, and spectators are of primary concern during any weather event that occurs during a league match. These few basic guidelines are designed with players, coaches, referees and spectators in mind. Ultimately, SLSG Management and/or the referees have the final say over delaying or postponing a game due to weather.
Lightning
The World Wide Technology Soccer Park will shut down all outdoor activities if lightening activity is within an eight (8) mile radius of the facility. The SLSG Management and Facility Management will have the ultimate final say in determining if lightening is a safe distance from the facility and the games are able to resume due to other factors.
Cold and Hot Temperature Guidelines
Please refer to the below temperature guidelines for delaying or postponing a game due to extreme hot or cold weather. The SLSG Management and Facility Management will have the ultimate final say in deterring if the temperature is too hot or too cold to play matches.
