The Women’s Leadership Initiative is a program, completely powered by SLSG, that facilitates discussion between club members regarding leadership and communication through coaching. 

The program, still in its infancy, is inclusive to all girls of SLSG, and hopes to be a compliment to the other programming the club currently offers by introducing participants to a diverse group of experienced, strong, skilled female role models including professional athletes, community leaders, business leaders, and peers.

A Program that Generates Female Role Models for young women within SLSG.  Provides Guidance in the Art of Leadership, Coaching, and Communication through the four (4) pillars of participation;

• 2018 - 12 original participants in 2018 during the pilot phase

• 2019 - 19 female coaches in SLSG
• 2020 - 20 female coaches in SLSG
• 2021 - 21 female coaches/admin - record number seven (7) full-time - 357 players influenced by female coaches (increase of over 200% in three (3) years.
• 2020 - 28 members in Role Model Program
• 2020 - Two (2) females complete the Coaching & Development Program.
• 2020 - 72 members in SLSG Give Back Program working with over 1,254 players in 2019- 2020.
• 2020 - Julie King Leaders in Action Guest Speaker
• 2021 - Club Training - 279 players impacted by female coaches weekly.
• 2021 - Soccer School - 173 players impacted by female coaches weekly.
• 2021 - ECNL Green and ECNL RL Missouri - 166 players impacted by two (2) or more female coaches on a daily basis.
