ST. LOUIS, Mo. – St. Louis Scott Gallagher announced a partnership with the Disabled Athlete Sports Association (DASA) and will welcome the competitive power soccer team into the club for the upcoming 2018 DASA season and beyond.
The Disabled Athlete Sports Association (DASA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization specializing in competitive and therapeutic sports and fitness opportunities. The athletes of DASA are encouraged to seek their highest level of independence and become involved to the fullest extent with their non-disabled peers and their community as a whole. DASA programs introduce both children and adults to sports and fitness activities that promote physical fitness, self-confidence, family values, and a positive, team-building environment designed to encourage personal growth throughout all aspects of life.
DASA currently offers three (3) power soccer teams ranging in skill from recreational to competitive. The new SLSG Power Soccer teams will wear club uniforms and be recognized as full members of the historic youth soccer organization.
“We are proud to welcome these exceptional athletes into the SLSG family. DASA has done tremendous work in our community and we look forward to a successful partnership,” said SLSG President Patrick Barry. “We look forward to the SLSG Power Soccer teams representing our community in their competitions and joining the long tradition of quality soccer programs from our great city.”
"We are excited to partner with SLSG as the premier soccer club in the St. Louis-area," said DASA Founder & Executive Director Kelly Behlmann. “The Power Soccer athletes of DASA are eager to continue to compete to our highest ability and represent SLSG well.”
