Weather Policy

The safety of the players, coaches, ​referees​, and spectators are of primary concern during any weather event that occurs during a match.

The Premier League staff along with the referee assignor will make the final decision on playing matches in the case of inclement weather.​


The Premier League Staff will monitor the distance of lightning in the area.  If lightning is monitored within 10 miles of the facility, matches will be delayed.  Matches will be delayed until lightning has moved further then 10 miles away from the facility.  During the time of the lightning delay, we would ask all players, parents, referees, and other spectators to please seek shelter inside the Soccer Park Facility or in their car.
​Cold and Hot Weather​

​In the case of cold weather, if the temperature with wind chill is 20 Degrees or below, the Premier League will not play games.​

​In the case of hot weather, if the temperature with heat index is 105 degrees and above, the Premier League will not play games.

These are guidelines but the Premier League is responsible for the decision on whether or not to play games.  Cold weather factors such as rain, sleet, snow, and ice could influence the decision on whether or not to play games.  In addition, please be aware of any heat exhaustion symptoms such as cramping and fatigue.  The Refs may give water breaks during games which have heat conditions.

The Premier League will update coaches and managers of any changes, postponements, or cancellations to the schedule
